Action Network NFL analyst C. Jackson Cowart joins The Post’s Bettor’s Guide for the 2022 season. Here are his top plays for Week 1.

MIAMI DOLPHINS (-3.5) over New England Patriots

I’m incredibly bullish on these Dolphins, who have finally put Tua Tagovailoa in a spot to succeed with an innovative head coach and the best supporting cast he’s seen since his final year at Alabama. He’s got the fastest WR duo in the league in Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, and coach Mike McDaniel will attempt to recreate his rushing success in San Francisco with a pair of burners in Chase Edmonds and former 49ers back Raheem Mostert.

That’s to say nothing of this talent-rich defense, which forced Mac Jones into as many turnovers (two) as touchdowns (two) in a pair of Fins wins last season. Hard Rock Stadium has long been a house of horrors for the Patriots, who are 2-7-1 against the spread in their past 10 games in Miami.

Denver Broncos (-6.5) over SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

Denver was the quintessential “one quarterback away” candidate — a team with a Super Bowl roster and a void at quarterback. That’s no longer an issue with perennial MVP contender Russell Wilson, who owns a career 57-21 record at Lumen Field.

Betting on the NFL?

As if their bare-bones roster wasn’t uninspiring enough, the Seahawks will be replacing Wilson with his former backup, Geno Smith, whose five touchdowns in 2021 were his most in a season since 2014. That should tell you all you need to know about the longtime veteran and his team’s chances of keeping it close on Monday night.
