Plenty of PGA Tour stars make the trek to the Renaissance Club, just 20 minutes outside of Edinburgh, to get adjusted to links-style golf and the conditions that they’ll face at the Open.
The presence of these PGA Tour stars — Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Patrick Cantlay, and defending champion Xander Schauffele are among the favorites this week — makes the Scottish Open a fun tournament to handicap.

While you need to respect the PGA invaders because they’re typically stronger players compared to those who play on the DP World Tour, it’s also the first time they’ll be facing these kinds of conditions in quite a while.
