The ACC-Big Ten Challenge will be decided on Wednesday and N.C. State will look to both help its profile and that of the ACC as the Wolfpack host Nebraska on Wednesday.

It is a revenge game for N.C. State reserve Thomas Allen, who made 15 starts for N.C. State last season after beginning his career at Nebraska, but he has missed two games this season, and the team is still without starting center Manny Bates, leaving them with four players averaging more than 3.7 points per game.

Nebraska’s Achilles’ heel has been the 3-point arc, ranking 301st in the country in 3-point shooting percentage against D-I competitors and 44.5 percent of the points they allow are from 3-point range, which is 355th out of 358 teams.

Both teams have taken care of the ball, with N.C. State 10th in the country in percentage of possessions that end in a turnover and Nebraska is 22nd, but N.C. State is allowing plenty of second chances, yielding a second chance on 30.9 percent of opponents missed shots, which is 292nd among D-I teams.

N.C. State also has poor ball movement, with the Wolfpack 321st in percentage of made field goals that involve an assist. Nebraska will give N.C. State all they can handle in Raleigh on Wednesday.

The play: Nebraska, +6.5.
