Winning at sports betting is a lot like investing. Buying the dip is critical, but so is riding the wave.

The Las Vegas Aces are on that wave, having won nine straight games while posting a 7-2 mark against the spread (ATS) during that span.

The Aces have passed the New York Liberty for the No. 3 seed with just seven games remaining in the regular season.

Plus, star A’ja Wilson is the second-favorite MVP candidate with +200 odds at FanDuel after sitting in the neighborhood of 40/1 before the streak.

Las Vegas hits the road and plays outside the Pacific time zone for the first time in nearly a month — a span of 11 straight games.

The Aces are 7.5-point favorites at the Washington Mystics with a total of 161 points.

Normally, I would look to fade a team that is due for regression but I think that arrives later in the road trip.

I want to back the Aces because they are seeking revenge against a team that has beaten them in back-to-back meetings.

Plus, the Mystics are a shell of themselves.

They recently traded All-Star Brittney Sykes and want to build around Sonia Citron and Kiki Iriafen. But these talented rookies are not quite ready to shoulder that responsibility and appear a bit overwhelmed with the workload.

Las Vegas’s nine-game win streak is no coincidence.

Coach Becky Hammon adjusted her starting lineup to provide more toughness and defense with Kierstan Bell and NaLyssa Smith. That moved Jewell Loyd to a reserve role, which has allowed her to shoot more freely with the second unit.

I have a 61-50-1 ATS record in this Post sports section entering Friday’s wager on the Storm.

My next play is Las Vegas laying the 7.5 points (-110, BetMGM Sportsbook).
