For the second straight season, the AT&T Byron Nelson will be staged at Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas. This comes after 31 years at TPC Las Colinas, where the event struggled to attract big-name players. The new venue has given the Nelson a fresh start. As it sits just a week prior to the PGA Championship, some of the big names are skipping once again, but there is a solid presence of European Tour players who have made their way to the States to get ready for next week.

I do think there is a chance Brooks Koepka (6/1) could overpower this golf course and this field, but the last two stroke-play events on Tour have seen huge long shots prevail. Here are three who could continue that trend:

The plays

Scott Piercy (40/1): Has missed only two cuts since last October, while notching five top-10 finishes.

Ryan Moore (40/1): This will be his first time playing Trinity Forest, but I like his skill sets — and he finished third in these parts last month at the Valero Texas Open.

Adam Schenk: He’s 11/5 in the field at William Hill, but listed on his own at 100/1 at the Westgate SuperBook. Schenk took seventh at the Valero in San Antonio and has too good of an all-around game to be 100/1.
