The Carson Wentz era begins, but Jacksonville coach Doug Pederson has some experience against the Commanders from his Philadelphia days. New York Giants open the Brian Daboll era, and the offense needs to be better after averaging 15.2 points per game last season. Running back Saquon Barkley will be essential to the Giants success, but yards will be tough against the Titans’ defense. Tennessee should have enough to get by the Giants with Ryan Tannehill and a healthy Derrick Henry.
Charlotte, North Carolina is the location for the Baker Mayfield Bowl. The Browns are relying on Jacoby Brissett through the Deshaun Watson suspension, and the potential headlines if Mayfield beats his former team will be off the charts. Carolina have confirmed the former No.1 pick will be their starter, but it remains to be seen if Baker can deliver the goods.
