The Atlanta Braves will host their NL East rivals, the Philadelphia Phillies, on Saturday afternoon.
On paper, the game features a pretty even pitching matchup between Philadelphia’s Zack Wheeler (3-4, 4.11 ERA) and Atlanta’s Charlie Morton (5-4, 3.61 ERA).
Both pitchers will be looking to rebound from recent poor outings.
Wheeler has allowed 17 hits and eight runs in his past two starts; both resulting in Phillies losses.
Meanwhile, Morton was lit up for six runs in just 5.0 innings in his last outing against the Dodgers.
Braves vs. Phillies pick
(4:10 p.m. Eastern)
Morton has been the more consistent pitcher this season giving up three runs or fewer in seven of nine starts, but he has been average in his career against Philadelphia.
Current Phillies hitters own a .276 average in 152 at-bats against him.
Wheeler started the season off strong, but he has struggled over the past month.
The right-hander has given up at least four runs in three of his past four starts.

Current Braves hitters are batting just .229 versus Wheeler in 218 career at-bats.
This feels like a good spot to back the over on the Phillies’ team total.
