The Stanley Cup Final got a whole lot more interesting after St. Louis tied the series at 1-1 with a 3-2 overtime win in Game 2. The Blues were dominated in the final two periods of their Game 1 loss, but came back strong, imposing their will physically on the Bruins and carrying the play against them. The Blues special teams also stepped up and performed much better in Game 2.

Boston will be without defenseman Matt Grzelcyk for at least Game 3 because of a concussion from a hit by St. Louis forward Oskar Sundqvist, which earned Sundqvist a one-game suspension. So this could be a tough spot for Boston, in theory, going to St. Louis for the Blues’ first Cup Final home game since 1970.

It will be a phenomenal atmosphere, but the Bruins often rise the occasion when required. They’ve done it throughout the playoffs. Boston is 4-1 in the next game after a loss in these playoffs, and 6-2 on the road overall.
