The Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals enter Tuesday’s matchup at Busch Stadium tied for the NL Central lead. Both teams will pitch veterans attempting to rectify their issues with walks.

Adam Wainwright of the Cardinals comes in giving out 3.6 walks per nine innings with a 7-7 record and a 4.63 ERA. The team is 1-2 in his three starts against the Cubs this season, but his win was in St. Louis.

The Cubs are 20-31 away from Wrigley Field and are 1-5 in Yu Darvish’s road starts since May began. Darvish gives out four walks per nine innings.

Prior to losing their last two games to the Astros, the Cardinals had won nine of their previous 10 games. They back up Wainwright with the fourth-best bullpen ERA. Chicago’s bullpen also has been solid, ranking 10th in ERA, but is coming off a series against the Brewers in which it blew two late-game leads.

Each of the nine games in the series between these teams has gone to the home team and there seems to be a big edge to the home Cardinals on Tuesday.

The Play: Cardinals -100.
