Oddsmakers are expecting Scottie Scheffler to bounce back after a wild weekend in Louisville.
The world’s No. 1 golfer is a massive favorite to win this weekend’s Charles Schwab Challenge, sitting at +280 at bet365 ahead of Thursday’s first tee times.
Scheffler is coming off about as weird of a weekend at a major tournament as it can get.

On Friday, Scheffler was arrested and later charged with second-degree assault of a police officer, third-degree criminal mischief, reckless driving and disregarding traffic signals after allegedly refusing to follow traffic laws outside Valhalla Golf Club.
Scheffler would leave jail and return to the golf course just before his tee time and go to shoot 5-under 66 on Friday, putting him just three shots off the lead.
After struggling on Saturday, Scheffler bounced back on Sunday to finish tied for eight, ending his shot at the Grand Slam.

Scheffler returned the course in spectacular fashion, holing out from 167 yards for an eagle two on the par-4 just days after his wife, Meredith, gave birth to their son, Bennett, in his first tournament hole as a father.
But his rollercoaster weekend isn’t going to slow down his historic streak over the past several months, if Vegas bookies are correct.
Scheffler has been top-20 in all 11 starts in 2024, finishing in the top-10 in 10 of those events and winning four of them, including the Masters in April.

He came into the PGA Championship as an unheard of +450 favorite to win the tournament at BetMGM Sportsbook, the shortest line since Tiger Woods was +400 to win the 2013 tournament, according to SportsOddsHistory.com.
At Colonial Country Club this week, Scheffler is trailed by Colin Morikawa (+1300), Jordan Spieth (+2400) and Max Homa (+2400) in an abbreviated post-major field.
