Rookie QBs such as Sam Darnold aren’t an automatic bet-against like they used to be, but that’s still not enough to take the Jets here on Monday night football vs. the Lions.

Instead, I’m looking at the Over with the relatively low total of 44.5.

Both teams have middle-of-the road defenses. Jets coach Todd Bowles has said he’s not going to go conservative with his rookie QB and I don’t expect the Lions to be able to run the ball against the Jets’ defensive line, so Matthew Stafford will be airing it out as well.
