The Dallas Cowboys will look to extend their four-game winning streak, clinch a playoff berth and keep themselves in the hunt for the NFC East title when they take on the Jacksonville Jaguars, who are trying to keep slim playoff hopes alive, in Jacksonville, Fla.

The Cowboys have won four in a row, but barely kept that streak alive last week after escaping with a 27-23 win over the Houston Texans last week. Dallas is still explosive on offense led by the running back duo of Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard and plays on the road in three of its final four games. The Cowboys can clinch a postseason berth with a victory and at least stay within two games of first place in the NFC East with a home game against front-running Philadelphians next week. The Jaguars are coming off their most impressive victory of the season after beating the Tennessee Titans 36-22 on the road.

Quarterback Trevor Lawrence had his strongest performance of the season, passing for 368 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions on 30 of 42 attempts. Jacksonville is two games behind New England, the L.A. Chargers and the New York Jets, who are tied for the final Wild Card berth in the AFC.

While Dallas is dealing with multiple injuries, its key offensive figures are intact. The Cowboys have been explosive when Dak Prescott is in rhythm with his receivers and they are running the ball well. The Cowboys are averaging 27.7 points per game and 26.0 points in five road games. The Jaguars are allowing 22.7 points per game, which ranks slightly in the upper half of the league. The Cowboys have one the NFL’s best defenses, however, ranked second in the league in sacks (48) and allowed the third-fewest points (229). But Jacksonville is coming off their best offensive performance of the season in a victory at Tennessee and averaging 22.6 points per game.

The Cowboys rank third in the NFL in scoring and have the second-most rushing touchdowns (21) behind only the Eagles (27). Dallas ranks 15th in passing touchdowns with 19 and that’s with Prescott missing five games earlier this season. Elliott and Pollard form arguably the post potent running tandem in the NFL and at least one of them should be able to find the end zone in this matchup.

may have had their best game of the season last week, but something they have struggled with is consistency and their facing one of the most aggressive defenses in the league. Trevor Lawrence has yet to string together multiple performances like the one he had in Nashville last week.

Cowboys vs. Jaguars pick: Dallas scores more touchdowns @ -205 at Caesars Sportsbook  

The Cowboys have been inconsistent themselves and nearly suffered an embarrassing defeat last week against the Texans. Most of their schedule so far has been at home and really have had only one blowout victory on the road – their 40-3 win over Minnesota.

The Jaguars could be riding the momentum of last week’s win and are expecting a sellout crowd, which could keep this one close and potentially a game that’s decided in the fourth quarter. While it’s also possible Dallas comes out sharper and shows it is the superior team, there’s more reward to take a chance on it being a close matchup, which the Cowboys are often involved in even against sub-.500 teams like Jacksonville.
