Jon Lester was a big reason why the Chicago Cubs, in 2016, won the World Series for the first time in more than 100 years. He will be returning to Wrigley Field on Friday as a part of his new team, the Washington Nationals.

After beginning the season on the injured list, Lester has posted a 2.25 ERA and has not allowed a home run in 16 innings across three starts with Washington.

The Cubs will look to young starter Adbert Alzolay for a good start. He has shown good command in six starts with seven total walks in 32 innings, but has faced a bottom-five offense in the Milwaukee Brewers three times and has given up at least two runs in every start.

The Nationals entered the week 24th in the league in runs per game with four, but are generating 4.8 runs per game on the road as compared to 3.2 per game at home.

The Nationals lead the league in road batting average at .265 and both teams rank in the top five of the National League in bullpen ERA. The ability of the Nationals to produce hits should make Lester a winner in his return to Chicago.

The Play: Nationals, +130.
