The Big Ten has been full of land mines all year long for Ohio State, and Iowa will look to add to its struggles in conference play. The Buckeyes are 7-9 straight up and 6-10 against the spread in Big Ten play with the guard play being a big reason why.

The Buckeyes are 13th out of the 14 teams with regard to taking care of the ball, turning it over 13.6 times per game, which has led to the team taking the lowest amount of field-goal attempts of any team in the Big Ten.

To Ohio State’s credit, its defense is ranked 44th in the country in efficiency despite giving up a number of fast-break baskets on turnovers, but the Hawkeyes enter ranked 15th in the nation in offensive efficiency and will make the Buckeyes pay for such mistakes.

This is also an Iowa bunch that has played some of its best basketball away from home, going 7-3 straight up in such games (4-3 on the road, 3-0 at neutral sites). Iowa has the depth to bring 10 players into a game for significant minutes with nearly all of them being capable 3-point shooters.

Iowa is 39th in the country in road 3-point shooting percentage and Ohio State actually gives up a worse 3-point-shooting percentage at home than away from Columbus.

Iowa scored a 72-62 win and cover when these two hooked up in January in Iowa City and the result should be the same on Tuesday despite a change in location. Iowa won that game despite going 4-of-16 from beyond the arc as it forced 21 Ohio State turnovers.

The play: Iowa, +2.
