The San Francisco Giants will look to solve one of the biggest riddles in all of baseball, Max Scherzer, as he gets the ball for the Los Angeles in a pivotal Game 3 of the National League Divisional Series.
The Dodgers have won all 12 of Scherzer’s starts since being acquired from the Washington Nationals, as he has given up two runs or fewer in 10 of his 12 starts and just six walks allowed in his past six starts.
This battle involves the MLB’s top two bullpens in terms of ERA and overall team ERA. The Giants have allowed four runs or fewer in 10 of their last 11 games.
The season series has seen six of the last nine games go under the total and that trend will continue on Monday.
