Week 2 of the college football season features a classic rivalry game.

Iowa will take on Iowa State in the annual Cy-Hawk Game, with this year’s iteration taking place at Jack Trice Stadium in Ames.

Iowa State is 2-0 after a huge win over Kansas State in Week 0 and a 55-7 drubbing of South Dakota in Week 1, while Iowa is 1-0 after defeating Albany without much fuss in their opener.

What our Post expert thinks about Iowa vs. Iowa State

This game is often characterized by hard-nosed, defensive football, but the offenses of both teams showed some promise in the early part of the season.

We’ll see if that carries over into this rivalry encounter, but don’t be surprised if there’s a higher total than usual for Cy-Hawk in 2025.
