It’s a historic outcome for FanDuel, but not how they hoped.
FanDuel Sportsbook put together a “Popular Parlay” that had tens of thousands of bettors and participants.
The four-leg parlay was of four players to score a touchdown, consisting of Tony Pollard, CeeDee Lamb, Brandin Cooks and DK Metcalf, all to get in the end zone.
The impressive parlay won with relative ease, with three of the key touchdowns being scored in the first half.
When Pollard ran into the end zone on a four-yard scamper on the second drive of the third quarter, it was over, and FanDuel had lost $13.4 million.
Metcalf had already scored two touchdowns at this point as he dominated cornerback DaRon Bland from start to finish.
The odds came in at +3919, good for a 2.49 percent chance implied of the bet actually winning.

Cooks got into the end zone as well, scoring a touchdown early in the second quarter, while Lamb and Metcalf scored in the first.
This isn’t the first time that the sportsbook was caught on a house-made bet at massive odds.
The FanDuel was nailed for a $20 million loss in September when every team kicked a field goal during the Sunday 1 o’clock, 4 o’clock, and 4:25 p.m. ET. windows during Week 2 of the NFL season.
