The Post’s Drew Loftis breaks down his favorite start-sit options for Week 16 of the NFL season. Look toward these unheralded stars to win your fantasy football league as the waiver wire closes.
Fantasy football Week 16 players to start
Brock Purdy QB, 49ers
He has averaged 17.5 points in almost three full games replacing Jimmy Garoppolo. Gets a neutral matchup in Week 16 vs. the Commanders, then a juicy clash with the Raiders in fantasy title week.
Daniel Jones QB, Giants
If stuck streaming QBs in the playoffs, you can do worse. Gets to face a bottom-six fantasy defense vs. QBs this coming week when the Giants take on the Vikings.
Donovan Peoples-Jones WR, Browns
Averaging 15.3 per week in PPR since Deshaun Watson took over at QB. Projected over an entire season, that would rank as WR14.
D.J. Chark Jr. WR, Lions
Not worried about an invisible game this past week vs. the Jets (2.8 PPR). We like the Detroit offense, and we’ll roll dice on Chark if desperate for a Flex over the next couple of weeks.

Tom Brady QB, Buccaneers
How is he still on 80-plus percent of rosters? Who are the 40-something percent of fantasy managers who played him this past week? Help us understand.
Nick Chubb RB, Browns
His fantasy implosion (8.7 PPR average) has coincided with Watson’s debut three weeks ago. One would be an anomaly, two a coincidence, but three is a trend. Tread carefully with him in the fantasy playoffs.

Foreman is a pure volume producer. When the Panthers fall behind, he isn’t going to get that volume. The Lions can score, which puts Foreman prospects at risk in Week 16.
Marquise Brown WR, Cardinals
Doesn’t really matter who the QB is, we know it won’t be Kyler Murray. This severely hampers Hollywood’s fantasy potential. We’re scared of playing DeAndre Hopkins, so Brown easily earns a bench spot.
