It’s tough to find a more-hyped division in football than the NFC West. Some sports books in Vegas have the Rams at 7/1 to win the Super Bowl, others have the 49ers around 10/1. I believe there’s serious value buying low on the division’s forgotten team, the Cardinals.
Star running back David Johnson went down in Week 1, three starting offensive linemen landed on IR and Arizona still clawed its way to eight wins in 2017. The O-line will be much improved with the addition of Justin Pugh and Andre Smith.
Arizona plays three of its first four games at home and should start the season 2-2 at worst. After that, home games with Denver, San Francisco, Oakland and Detroit are all winnable, and the Cardinals have proven they can win at Seattle and San Francisco.
The play: Over 5¹/₂ wins (-170 at William Hill).
