While most of the MLB playoff picture is set, the Indians and Nationals have a lot at stake when they meet Friday night in Washington.

The Nationals will start Austin Voth, and though he has just seven starts this season, he has been effective with a 1-1 record and a 3.35 ERA. His biggest weakness is length. He has not gone six full innings in a start since August. But in September, he has given up just four runs in 16²/₃ innings. Going against him for the Indians will be Zach Plesac, who has been inconsistent of late.

The starting pitching seems to favor the Nats. And though the Indians have the best bullpen ERA in baseball for the year and the Nats rank 29th, over the past 30 days the Indians rank 17th in bullpen ERA, which means the edge currently is not quite what it was.
