Following their worst home defeat in Bill Self’s tenure, an 84-59 rout by the Texas Longhorns on Saturday, the Kansas Jayhawks travel to the state of Texas for a Tuesday night game against upstart TCU. Of the Horned Frogs’ top six scorers who have attempted a 3-point shot this season, five are converting at least 38.1 percent, with three of those players also generating at least 1.3 steals per game on the defensive end.
Kansas counters with each of its top four scorers who have hit at least one 3-point shot making at least 37.5 percent to go with a front line that helps the Jayhawks rank 22nd in the nation in offensive rebounds per game.
TCU big man Kevin Samuel will look to keep the Jayhawks off the glass as he is registering 10.2 points and 10.2 rebounds per game to go with 2.6 blocks per game, which ranks 20th among qualifying Division I players.
With Kansas ranking 272nd in the nation in 2-point shooting percentage and outside the Division I top 100 in 3-point shooting percentage defense, TCU has the recipe to do something that very rarely happens, hand the Jayhawks a second straight loss.
The Play: TCU, +3.5.
