Gonzaga continues its run as the favorite to win the March Madness tournament, but they will face an Arkansas Razorback team that will force the tempo and attempt to score plenty of points in the paint. Fortunately for Gonzaga, Arkansas plays a brand of basketball that they match up well against.

On Saturday, Gonzaga had a scare against the Memphis Tigers who proved quite difficult to deal with. After being down 10 points at the half, Gonzaga forward Drew Timme gave an expletive-laced halftime speech to refocus the team. After the comeback win, Timme detailed the speech that saved the season.

His leadership will be crucial again as Gonzaga takes on Arkansas.

Look at the past four months, not the past two games. The Bulldogs still have the nation’s best offense, an unmatched interior presence, a variety of sharpshooters, and a roster accustomed to the pressure placed upon the top-overall seed.

Most national champions don’t look the part at some point during a title run, but two of Gonzaga’s most underwhelming performances this season are out of the way, and the Bulldogs will again look like the tournament favorite in a matchup that plays to their many strengths.

The Hogs like to run, but their opponent likes playing even faster. Arkansas’ abysmal outside shooting forces it to depend on scoring inside, in transition, and from the line, but Gonzaga ranks fifth in the nation in blocks per game (5.9), in the top 25 in fewest fouls committed and in the top 30 in fewest turnovers committed. The best frontcourt in the country, featuring Drew Timme and Chet Holmgren, should control the game on both ends of the floor.
