After a wild day one of the March Madness tournament, the chaos continues on Friday with the remainder of the games from the round of 64. The No. 10 seed Loyola-Chicago Ramblers are a blooming program that has made some deep runs in the tournament in recent years, and will look to give the Ohio State Buckeyes a challenge in their first-round matchup.

Betting on March Madness 2025?

Loyola Chicago vs. Ohio State prediction

Loyola-Chicago (+1.5) over Ohio State

History is on their side. The matchup is, too. Following last year’s run to the Sweet 16, the 25-win Ramblers return another team that excels on both ends of the floor, featuring senior guard Lucas Williamson and a supporting cast who combine to hit 38.3 percent of 3-pointers. The Buckeyes, who were bounced as a 2-seed in last year’s first round, rank among the most inconsistent teams in the field, having lost four of their past five games — three of the losses came to non-tourney participants — with one of the worst defenses in the bracket. A slow, low-scoring game will limit possessions and amplify the pressure on each one. The team that’s proven it can handle such high stakes shall see the second round.
