Derrick Henry saw his five-game streak of 100-yard rushing efforts come to a screeching halt Sunday, as the Tennessee Titans running back had just 53 yards in a 17-10 home win over Denver. That’s the bad news for the two-time NFL rushing champ.

The good news? Henry should have no problem starting a new streak Thursday night against the Green Bay Packers, as he’ll be facing a run defense that has held up about as well as a straw hut in a hurricane.

The Packers are surrendering more than 140 rushing yards per game, which ranks 26th in the NFL. And that average is actually misleading because they held Tampa Bay to 34 rushing yards back in Week 3.

Just how much of an outlier was that performance? Green Bay’s other nine opponents have piled up at least 117 yards on the ground, with six of those foes going for more than 150 yards.

Admittedly, only three tailbacks have cracked the century mark against the Packers this season. But that’s because Green Bay has faced a slew of opponents that take a running back-by-committee approach.

Betting on the NFL?

That, of course, is not how the Titans’ offense operates. Tennessee feeds Henry the pigskin early and often, which explains why he leads the NFL with 202 carries and ranks second with 932 rushing yards, just 8 behind the New York Giants’ Saquon Barkley.

Yes, the Packers held Barkley to 70 yards back in Week 5 in London. But he only had 13 carries. The only way Henry finishes with 13 carries Thursday night is if he gets injured or Green Bay races out to a four-touchdown lead.

Neither is likely, so we’re playing Henry to tear up the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field on a 24-degree wind-chill evening and eclipse his rushing prop total.
