The Philadelphia Phillies swept the Atlanta Braves to begin the 2021 season and the Braves will be out for revenge this weekend, looking to Ian Anderson on Saturday to help the cause.

The Braves scored just three runs in their three losses to the Phillies to start the season, but hung 14 runs in 23 innings in their series against the Washington Nationals, including four home runs against former Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer.

Phillies hurler Zach Eflin threw seven innings while giving up just one run in the team’s 2-1 victory over the Braves on Sunday, but that was at home. Eflin has a career ERA of 5.21 on the road, where he has a 2.52 strikeout to walk rate, compared in 3.64 at home.

The Braves will send Anderson to the hill after he surrendered one run in five innings against the Phillies on Sunday. In seven career starts, Anderson has served up just two home runs and has never given up over three runs in every one of those starts.

The Phillies rank 23rd in the league in percentage of at-bats that result in a home run and the Braves rank fourth in the league in ERA with a 2.29, so Atlanta should be able to get revenge for what happened in Philadelphia.

The play: Braves -135
