The battle of Pennsylvania concludes Sunday between the Phillies and Pirates.
On the mound for Philadelphia will be Cristopher Sanchez (0-3, 2.98 ERA) with Pittsburgh turning to youngster Quinn Priester (1-1, 9.28).
Sanchez has pitched much better than his 0-3 record.
The left-hander has yet to give up more than three runs in nine starts this season, but despite the strong outings, Philadelphia has lost five of the past six games with Sanchez on the mound.
Phillies vs. Pirates pick
(1:35 p.m. Eastern)
The problem has been run support. In those five losses, Sanchez has allowed a total of 11 earned runs over 28 innings.
The Phillies, however, scored just 11 runs in those games.
Priester will be making only his third career start.
The 22-year-old managed to earn a win his last time out against the Padres, but he has been shaky through two games, giving up 11 hits, 11 runs and four home runs in 10 ²/₃ innings of work.

Sanchez has been unlucky this season due to the lack of run support, but he should have success against a Pirates offense that’s batting just over .200 in the month of July (22 games).
Philadelphia has owned this in-state rivalry of late, winning eight of the past 10 games heading into Saturday.
Look for that dominance to continue with Philadelphia getting a road win in the series finale.
The play: Phillies, -145.
