The Chicago Cubs over the weekend became the second team to lose each game of a four-game home series by one run, which in turn pretty much ended their hopes of getting to the playoffs. The season is not done, though, and they will look to take out their frustrations on the Pirates’ Mitch Keller, who has been knocked around at the major league level.

In 10 starts, Keller has a 7.74 ERA to go with a 1.84 WHIP. The Over has cashed in three of his past four starts, and the Pirates in general have been great in this regard. They have played 64.3 percent of their home games to the Over, and 60 percent of their games overall have gone Over.

The Cubs counter on Tuesday night at PNC Park with a pitcher who has extreme home and road splits in Kyle Hendricks. At home, he is 6-2 with a 2.04 ERA. On the road, he is 5-7 with a 4.94 ERA while giving up just under 1.5 home runs per nine innings.

The Cubs are averaging 7.25 runs per game against the Pirates this season, and it is safe to think this number will not be plummeting given the pitching matchup and the Pirates’ bullpen ERA being the worst in baseball the past 30 days.
