Our NFL betting expert offers the Las Vegas Raiders at Tennessee Titans predictions and best betting picks for the Sunday matchup at 1 p.m. ET on FOX.

The Raiders’ 0-2 start includes Sunday’s brutal loss to the Cardinals when they were outscored 22-0 in the final 8:13 of the game. The Titans are struggling with injuries – yet perhaps more concerning is the limited production from machine-like running back Derrick Henry, who has just 107 yards and one TD in two games.

Raiders vs. Titans predictions and analysis

Derrick Henry led the NFL in rushing twice in the past two seasons, but ball control can work only if the Titans can get – and protect – a lead. They are 0-2 and missing stud receiver A.J. Brown, who was traded to the Eagles.

Protecting a lead hits home for Vegas, after last week’s debacle of a defeat at the hands of the Arizona Cardinals.

Raiders -2

The Raiders were just below the class of the Chargers in Week 1, before all seemed right again with a 20-0 halftime lead on the Cardinals last week. But after an epic fourth-quarter meltdown, suddenly there is talk of things gone bust in Las Vegas.

The Raiders have really only been a bust in one quarter this season, with a Week 1 road loss to the Chargers not surprising. Wild scrambles by Arizona’s Kyler Murray, a pair of late 2-point conversions and a Cardinals fumble return in OT added to a wild Week 2 scene.

The Raiders have yet to get their vaunted offense off the ground, with the Bills on Monday night providing the road map on how to carve through the Titans’ defense. The Raiders’ offense is no Buffalo, but is better than exhibited in the first two games.

Our pick: Raiders to cover -2.0

Betting on the NFL?

Raiders vs. Titans over 45.5 points

Not only is the Raiders’ offense better than it has shown, so is the Titans’, which has yet to get going behind Henry. With just 3.1 yards per carry this season, there is a concern Henry’s foot injury from last season remains a nuisance.

The Titans can’t attack the Raiders like the Cardinals did in their comeback with Murray, but an effective Henry will help quarterback Ryan Tannehill get going. Tannehill has less than 200 yards passing per game.

Re-establishing chemistry between Carr and Adams is a work in progress for the Raiders. The good news for Las Vegas is that the Titans defense is near the bottom of the NFL with 7.7 yards passing per attempt. Tennessee has given up six passing TDs in two games.

Our Pick: Over 45.5 total points

Davante Adams over 6.5 receptions

Carr and Adams earned their way into the NFL with great chemistry when both attended Fresno State. Their reunion was expected to produce big things in Sin City, but so far, getting on the same page has proven elusive.

The duo tried to work their magic when Carr targeted Adams 17 times in Week 1 for 10 completions and 141 yards with a TD. In Week 2, those numbers were down to seven targets and two receptions for just 12 yards.

Some of the poor Week 2 production had to do with the Raiders building a big lead, then trying to burn some clock in the second half. Carr had 10 attempts after halftime. Don’t expect a conservative approach this week with the Raiders in desperate need of a victory.

Our pick: Davante Adams over 6.5 receptions
