The Zig-Zag Theory is a popular betting strategy, often used in both the NBA and NHL playoffs. The team that loses Game 1 from a side or against the spread perspective is usually in a play-on spot in Game 2. However, the sports books know these things, and bettors are always paying for it in the lines.

The Toronto Raptors fall under that umbrella tonight against the Orlando Magic after losing outright in Game 1 over the weekend. Yet, the line sits at Toronto minus 10! The line has jumped by a point and a half despite the fact the Raptors lost outright on their home floor.

Orlando is the best defensive team in the NBA since February, and has the length on its roster to combat Toronto’s own length. On top of that, the Raptors were just 18-23-1 against the spread at home this season! Take the points with a good defensive team getting an inflated line.

THE PICK: Magic +10.
