The San Francisco Giants last season saw their offense improve significantly under manager Gabe Kapler. While the pitching needed work, production from the pitching staff has been significantly better to begin 2021 and the Giants will look to starter Kevin Gausman to keep things rolling on Tuesday.

Gausman has just a 3-3 record since joining San Francisco prior to the 2020 season, but has a 3.19 ERA with a 4.7 strikeout to walk rate with 11 strikeouts and one home run surrendered per nine innings.

For the Reds, starting pitcher Luis Castillo has been a different player on the road, posting a 4.15 ERA and a 2.5 strikeout to walk rate away from home versus a 3.31 ERA with a 3.8 strikeout to walk rate in Cincinnati.

The Reds’ offense has not been the same away from home either, racking up 9.6 runs per game at home as compared to three on the road while the Giants’ team 1.33 ERA at home leads the league.

With the Reds’ road bullpen ERA clocking in at 7.30 entering this series and the Giants having allowed four runs or fewer in eight straight games entering Monday, the home dominance of the Giants should continue on Tuesday.

The Play: Giants -115
