The Colorado Rockies have MLB’s worst road record this season at 6-31 but entered Wednesday ranked fourth in home wins with 27 and will look to add another on Thursday against the struggling St. Louis Cardinals.

Rockies starter Antonio Senzatela is 0-4 with a 6.35 ERA in six road starts with opponents hitting .341 off of him. In his past eight home starts, he has a 2.90 ERA with just three home runs allowed in 49 ²/₃ innings.

He will be opposed by Adam Wainwright, who has a 6.31 ERA away from St. Louis with six home runs and 11 walks allowed in 25 ²/₃ innings across five starts. Opponents are hitting .272 off of him on the road compared to .205 at home.

The Cardinals entered Wednesday having scored four runs or fewer in 15 of their last 17 games. The only team in the MLB with a worse road batting average is the Rockies.

With the Rockies tied with the Reds entering Wednesday for most runs per game at home and the Cardinals having lost nine of their last 10 road games, the Rockies should open the series with a victory.

The play: Rockies, +120.
