It’s been a sad, sad college basketball season for both Rutgers and USC.

In need of a miracle run to make the NCAA Tournament, the pair will face off Wednesday in the first round of the Big Ten tournament.

The Scarlet Knights and Trojans have identical 15-16 records, and their downfall this season have been similar — atrocious play on the defensive end.

Take advantage of Bet365 Sportsbook’s promo code NYPBET and get a $150 bonus for betting $5 on Wednesday’s best bet for this Big Ten Tournament battle.

Rutgers vs. USC odds

Rutgers vs. USC betting preview

I’ll start with Rutgers.

Despite one of the best recruiting classes in the country, the Scarlet Knights can’t stop anyone, allowing 76.9 points per game.

It’s been even worse than that of late, giving up at least 75 points in eight straight games, including a 100-point outburst to Purdue last week.

USC hasn’t been any better, allowing at least 82 in five of its last six and 75 per game this season.

Betting on College Basketball?

It was an absolute shootout last time these two faced-off less than a month ago, when USC took down Rutgers on its home floor, 95-85.

With little to play for, I’m expecting another offensive showcase.

The play: Over 153.5 (-110, Bet365)
