Regular followers of my Post plays may have noticed I prefer to pick large home underdogs whenever warranted. In Week 9, circumstances point toward a two-team teaser consisting of the Bills and Browns.
The Bills are 10-point underdogs to the Bears in Orchard Park. This is actually more of a bet against the Bears being favored by this much on the road. Though the Bills ended up not covering as 14-point home ’dogs against the Patriots on Monday night, the No. 6-ranked defense sure played a winning game and should ride that confidence-builder into this matchup and keep it close again.
The Browns are +8 vs. the Chiefs in Cleveland. The Chiefs failed to cover for the first time last week as big favorites over the Broncos, and I’m counting on two in a row. Now, Cleveland isn’t as good as Denver, but it is at home and also finally got rid of head coach Hue Jackson. We often see a short boost for teams in this position as the players fight to impress their new coaches as they’re auditioning for their future employment.
The play: Bills-Browns teaser, moving the line on each game six points in our favor to Bills +16 and Browns +14.
