Dave Tuley, senior reporter at VSiN, joins the Post’s Bettor’s Guide for the 2018 NFL season. His handicapping pieces appear in VSiN’s online magazine, Point Spread Weekly.

Redskins (+3) over BUCCANEERS: I love FitzMagic as much as the next guy, but there’s no way that Washington (5-3 straight up and against the spread) should be this big of an underdog against Tampa Bay (3-5 SU and ATS), which is No. 29 in total defense. I know the Redskins’ offensive line is in shambles, but Dave Blezow, The Wildcat and yours truly could fill in and Alex Smith would be able to put up 30 points.

Lions (+6¹/₂) over BEARS: This is a must-win for the Lions in the NFC North. I normally don’t like teams in this role (because, if they were capable of “flipping the switch” to get a must-win, they probably would have done it earlier — like last week against the Vikings — and not be in this spot). However, I’m backing the Lions (3-5 SU, 5-3 ATS) as I know they can play with the Bears because, while they’re only won three games so far, all are against the three teams (Packers, Dolphins and Patriots) that have beaten the Bears (5-3 SU, 5-3 ATS).

Last Week: 2-0. Season: 8-9-1.
