After cashing two of our three player props during the season kickoff Thursday, we’re back for more in a rematch of the 2021 season opener between the Buccaneers and Cowboys.

Here are three of our favorite player props at BetMGM ahead of the Sunday night kickoff:

Tom Brady over 0.5 rushing yards (-115)

Brady might be one of the least mobile quarterbacks in NFL history, averaging just 51.1 rushing yards per season in his 22 years in the league. But there’s plenty of reason to think he’ll gain at least 1 yard in this one.

The Buccaneers’ offensive line returns just two healthy starters from last year’s unit, with two new starters making their NFL debuts on Sunday night. It’s just the second time in his career Brady has opened a season with three new starters up front. The last time that happened was 2015, when he was sacked twice in the opener and — you guessed it — ran three times for 1 yard.

Brady rushed for at least 1 yard in 12 of 17 games last season, including in all seven games in which he was sacked multiple times. More pressure means more scrambles from the Bucs QB, and I’d expect plenty of pressure on Sunday.

Dak Prescott over 0.5 interceptions thrown (+110)

Much like with the Brady prop, this is a simple numbers play on Prescott, who was picked in eight of his 16 starts last year — and once in his lone playoff start — but is being priced at plus-money to be intercepted here.

That doesn’t make a whole lot of sense, especially against a Buccaneers defense that ranked in the top 10 last year in interceptions (17) and picked off at least one pass in 11 of 17 games — including one off Prescott in the season opener. The Cowboys quarterback will also be down a few weapons on Sunday: Amari Cooper and Cedrick Wilson Jr. are playing elsewhere, Michael Gallup (knee) will be inactive and his offensive line is snakebitten, too.

Even Prescott (ankle) isn’t 100 percent entering this one, which doesn’t bode well for his chances of staying clean on the stat sheet. This is essentially a coin-flip bet with a slight lean to the over, so there’s clear value here at plus-odds.

Tony Pollard over 2.5 receptions (-115)

With all the buzz surrounding Pollard coming out of Cowboys camp, it’s tempting to bet the over on his total yardage prop (51.5), which he cleared in a whopping 11 of 15 games last year. But I’m bullish on his usage as a receiver in a game in which Dallas desperately needs a reliable pass-catching option.

Betting on the NFL?

As mentioned before, the Cowboys enter the opener without three of their top five receiving options from 2021. Checking in at sixth was Pollard, who logged 39 catches for 337 yards as a backup running back and pass-catching savant. In training camp, the team worked out Pollard as a receiver — a positon at which he spent time in college — and have loudly praised the fourth-year back as the “1B” to leading rusher Ezekiel Elliott.

By all accounts, the Cowboys want to get Pollard more involved this season, even as they continue to shell out big bucks to Elliott. The best way is to utilize him is as a receiver, especially given the state of Dallas’ O-line and the daunting matchup with the Bucs’ run defense. Pollard had four catches against Tampa Bay in the 2021 opener and caught at least three passes in eight of 15 games. He should clear that mark again in the rematch.
