The U.S. Open heads into the weekend with the betting market looking a lot different than it did when play began at Shinnecock Hills.

Two rounds of wind, fog and survival golf have reshaped the odds board, creating a new group of contenders while leaving several pre-tournament favorites with plenty of work to do.

Here’s where the U.S. Open odds stand entering Saturday’s third round.

US Open odds after Round 2

Wyndham Clark, the 2024 U.S. Open champion, remains a heavy favorite to finish on top once again after holding steady with a 1-under 69 in the second round to carry a four-shot lead into the weekend.

At 7 under, Clark set the 36-hole scoring record for a U.S. Open at Shinnecock.

A pair of trendy pre-tournament picks — Xander Schauffele and Matt Fitzpatrick — are Clark’s biggest threats at 3 under.

Scottie Scheffler, the pre-tournament favorite, still finds himself in the mix despite being seven strokes back, sitting at +1200 heading into Saturday’s action.

Former major winners Collin Morikawa (+1600) and Justin Thomas (+2500) are also being given a long shot chance at mounting a comeback over the final two days of the tournament.

Big names, including reigning U.S. Open champion J.J. Spaun, Jon Rahm, Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka, will head home early after missing the cut.
