Virginia Tech and Louisville had very different weekends. The Hokies won a road game against N.C. State in which both teams scored a combined 71 points and Louisville is looking to wash away the sting of North Carolina exacting revenge on the Cardinals on Saturday.

Despite scoring just 47 points on Saturday, Virginia Tech is fourth among Division I teams in points per offensive possession and pair that with a defense that is 11th in the country in efficiency.

A lot of this has to do with the perimeter because Virginia Tech is third in the country in 3-point shooting percentage and forces teams to keep up if they want to beat them.

Opponents are getting 43.2 percent of their points on 3-point shots against Virginia Tech, which is the most of any Division I team.

Louisville is a slightly above-average team from beyond the arc, ranking 144th in percentage of points off 3s and 104th in 3-point shooting percentage.
Jordan Nwora is a challenge for Virginia Tech to cover given his size at 6-foot-8 and 3-point shooting percentage of 40.2.

This will be mitigated by Kerry Blackshear though, who stands 6-foot-10, can shoot from the perimeter and has averaged 11 rebounds per game over the past four contests.

Even with Justin Robinson not in the lineup against N.C. State and his availability being in question for this contest because of injury, the Hokies have enough firepower in the backcourt to both light up the Cardinals from long range and play solid defense on the other end of the floor.

The play: Virginia Tech, +4.
