THE first 3D TV that doesn’t require those geeky glasses is being unveiled.

The 40-inch set costs about $10,500 – but its first use will probably be for commercial display rather than home viewing.

The set, made by French company Alioscopy, uses optical filter-coated panels to create the 3D effect.

It was shown for the first time yesterday at an electronics show in Singapore.
