‘Alaska’ hit for TLC
The premiere of “Sarah Palin’s Alaska” scored big numbers for TLC.
Sunday night’s premiere (9-10 p.m.) grabbed nearly 5 million viewers — a new TLC record for the premiere of an original series.
The biggest series numbers in TLC history still belong to “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” which drew over 9 million viewers in May 2009 at the height of the now-divorced couple’s marital woes.
