The family of Jeff Conaway, the former star of “Taxi” who died last week, is asking authorities for an autopsy to combat rumors that foul play was involved in the actor’s death, according to reports.

Conaway had a long history of drug abuse.

The actor’s last girlfriend was barred by court order from visiting him on his death bed and, there had been Internet speculation she may have played a role in his death.
