FOX officials are hoping two of baseball’s oldest losers will make it to the World Series.

A match-up between the Red Sox – who broke an 86-year-old championship drought in 2004 – and the Cubs – who haven’t won the series in a century – would be the ticket, they say.

“If you get a Cubs-Red Sox series and you go six or seven games, you’re going to have some of the biggest numbers you’ve seen in baseball in the last six to eight years,” a Fox official told trade magazine TV Week yesterday.
