OXYGEN has quietly cancelled Candice Bergen’s talk show, “Candice Checks It Out.“

“We don’t consider our relationship with her over,” said a network spokeswoman. “She did 13 episodes [of the talk show] and that was our agreement.

“Her schedule was such – she’s been making a lot of movies – that it was decided not to do any more episodes.”

It’s believed that Bergen’s Sunday night show skewed to an audience a bit older than Oxygen would have liked.

The decision to can the show was apparently made late last year but was never publicized – until The Hollywood Reporter ran a story yesterday.

The loss of Bergen leaves with only Oprah Winfrey (who owns part of the network) and Isaac Mizrahi as “name” hosts.-
