BRAVO’S “Top Chef” is officially cooking in New York.

For season five of the popular Bravo series, contestants will be living in trendy Williamsburg, Brooklyn and hitting kitchens in hot restaurants across the city.

The show was filmed over the summer and was even seen taping in late August at Le Bernardin, the West 51st Street eatery, whose chef, Eric Ripert, is a frequent guest on the show.

Besides the usual cadre of world class chefs, a slew of celebrities are expected to appear on the show this season, including Martha Stewart, Jean-Georges Vongerichten, Rocco DiSpirito and Natasha Richardson.

Also joining the show is a new judge, Toby Young, a food critic and best-selling author of “How to Lose Friends and Alienate People.”

“Top Chef” features 17 contestants vying for a chance at international recognition.

Among this season’s batch are six native New Yorkers and a woman from Verona, NJ.
