The apparent addition of Howard Stern to “America’s Got Talent” is the latest step in an effort to revitalize the aging NBC show.
“Every show, as it goes along, has got to evolve,” creator Simon Cowell tells The Post. “Everything has to change eventually. The show needs to become more YouTube-ish.”
“Talent” has been the network’s most-watched non-sports show for most of its six-season run, but has failed to generate the buzz of shows like “American Idol” or “The Voice.”
Cowell believes Stern will change that.
“Howard brings a kind of chaos to everything,” he says. “But I like chaos.”
