WATCH out Batman! Those super-sleuths on “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” will soon be the stars of their own comic book.

Max Allan Collins, who wrote the graphic novel that inspired the new Tom Hanks film “Road to Perdition,” has been tapped to write a five-issue “CSI” comic book series, reports Variety.

Comic artist Gabriel Rodriguez is expected bring a realistic look to the series, and artist Ashley Wood will render the covers as well as provide art for flashback scenes.

The storylines for the comics will be different from those featured in episodes of “CSI,” though the books will maintain the look of the show and use its characters.

“CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” begins its third season this fall on CBS.
