DOLLY Parton met Broadway yesterday in a rhinestone-studded blazer and 3-inch heels – and Broadway was duly dazzled.

In fact, as the media got a sneak peek at “9 to 5” – the new musical opening on Broadway next spring – film crews kept panning away from the cast to dally with Dolly, who sang along now and then from the sidelines.

And when she did speak, she certainly wasn’t shy. Hunting for theaters, she said, “I went to Jimmy [Nederlander] Sr. and

said, ‘I don’t really know what I’m doing, but I’ve been sent out to kiss ass!’ ”

“He said, ‘You don’t have to kiss anyone’s bottom here. If it’s good, we’ll see it.’ ”

And so will we: After its run in Los Angeles this fall, the show – with

Allison Janney, Stephanie J. Block and Megan Hilty as the three secretarial sisters-in-arms, and 20 new songs from Parton – will open at the Marquis Theatre on April 23.
