Tuesday’s “Dancing With the Stars” finale snared 24.1 million viewers on ABC — the show’s most-watched finale in three years.

While actress Jennifer Grey waltzed off with the show’s cheesy mirror-ball trophy, viewership was no doubt boosted by finalist Bristol Palin, Sarah Palin’s daughter, whose continued success on the show — despite mediocre scoring from the judges — generated lots of watercooler talk.

Tuesday’s “DWTS” finale was big, but didn’t top the show’s November 2007 season ender — in which nearly 25 million people watched Indy race car driver Helio Castroneves win the competition.
