A quadriplegic lawyer from St. Louis has reached a settlement with the producers of “The Apprentice” in a

discrimination lawsuit.

The lawyer, James Schottel Jr., alleged that language in the show’s rules saying that contestants must be in “excellent physical and mental health” excluded handicapped people.

Schottel has applied to be a contestant on “The Apprentice.”

He told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch this week that he now has a chance to be on the show. “Even if I don’t get in, maybe somebody else [who is disabled] will,” he told the paper.
