Disney Channel might have found its latest tween star.

Twelve-year-old Chyna McClain has been cast in Disney Channel’s “Ant Farm,” a new live-action comedy series, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

McClain will play a middle-school student named Chyna Sparks, a musical prodigy who’s moved into a high school class for gifted students with the acronym “ANT” (Accelerated Natural Talent).

In the show, Chyna and her fellow “ANT” prodigies deal with the older kids — and everything that comes along with being the new kids in a new school.

The show will also co-star Sierra McCormick, Jake Short and Zach Steel. The show’s pilot was written by Dan Signer (“The Suite Life on Deck“).

If the show is successful, McClain could fill the void left by Miley Cyrus, who’s departing as Disney Channel ratings champ “Hannah Montana.”

The network’s current teen star, Demi Lovato (“Sonny With a Chance“), is currently in rehab to battle undisclosed personal problems.
