Partial ‘Eclipse’

Fans of “Twilight” will have their prayers answered, thanks to the “MTV Movie Awards.” Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner will present a clip from the June 30 film “Eclipse.” The trio will be in the spotlight all night, as their film, ‘New Moon’ competes for five awards. Best Movie, Best Female Performance, Best Male Performance, Best Kiss and Global Superstar (they share that nomination). Hosted by Aziz Ansari, the Movie Awards are broadcast live from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, Calif. Singing a song from her new album is Christina Aguilera. Confirmed presenters include Zac Efron, Jonah Hill, Jessica Biel, Bradley Cooper, Miranda Cosgrove, and Jason Segel.

Facing the Lions’ toughest opponent yet, Coach Taylor (Kyle Chandler) searches for a strategy to shut down the team’s fabled “juggernaut offense.” Meanwhile, Julie (Aimee Teegarden) and Matt (Zach Gilford) attend a concert in Austin while Julie’s mom (Connie Britton) remains uninformed of their actions. Elsewhere, Tim (Taylor Kitsch) re-connects with Lyla (Minka Kelly). Jesse Plemons and Matt Lauria also star.

This week he bakes one for Coney Island’s Polar Bear Club of and takes an obligatory swim in the freezing water.

Paparazzi blues

For years, photographer Ron Galella was a thorn in every celebrity’s side, especially if you were Jackie Onassis. The poor thing could not walk in New York without finding Galella’s lens up her you-know-what. Onassis slapped Galella with a restraining order. Marlon Brando slugged him. Other celebrities, including Mick Jagger and Robert Redford, dealt with Galella in less violent ways. If you’re interested in the celebrities of a bygone era or merely seeing a lot of people in their prime, this might be the film you.
